O.boat
O.boat is an effort to combine origami art with practical utensils. O.boat is a teakettle shaped as an origami boat. It is divided into three separate parts: the first part is the water container which is the bottom of the boat,the second part is where tea is made and it is placed on the top of water container and the third part is the closure of the pot. The designers consideration was to design a module that shows everything could be shaped differently and in a complete new way.
O.boat Teakettle by Ladan Zadfar was highlighted as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. O.boat Teakettle won the Iron A' Design Award in Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design in 2016. The A' Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which honors outstanding design of pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, baking dishes, graters and more.
