Villages
Villages is a set of removable ceramic seasoning containers designed for the table. The containers can be arranged in different combinations, so users define the service function themselves. Placed together on a plate, the containers form a small village scene that turns the food setting into a landscape. The set is made in Jingdezhen from high temperature porcelain, which is safe, nontoxic and suitable for use in a microwave oven. The intention is to bring warmth and enjoyment to daily dining.
Villages Multifunctional Ware by JiaYi Cai has been identified as an innovative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Villages Multifunctional Ware won the Bronze A' Design Award in Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design in 2020. The A' Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which honors excellent design of pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, baking dishes, graters and more.
